wandering thoughts

Julia&Sebastian part II

Veneziaden. Stormen Rauli. Och Julias och Bastis bröllopsdag. What a combination. Regnet öste ner och blåsten slet i träd och tältdukar.
Vigseln.
Barfotadans in på småtimmarna.
Det var allt och lite till.

Julia&Sebastian part I

What should I say…? About that day at the very end of summer. That evening before the wedding, when we crossed a wide stretch of water to get into an enchanted forest.
It was perfect. It was relaxed. It was sincere and joyful. Just these two being themselves, me documenting it, sneaking around them. With nothing else on the agenda, no timetable, only the sun and the light as our master.
It was the evening before the wedding and taking these portraits just then, was more than perfect.

These two though. They are beautiful. Real. There. And it was such an honour to be a part of their weekend.

Annina

Very late one summer evening in July we took a walk, my dear friend and I. We rarely see each other, but when we do, I always feel like home. At rest. Because she has a permanent suite in my heart and having a friend like her is a gift.
We walked and talked, in the rain. Laughed and stumbled in a ditch. Took some photographs as we went.
The night grew darker in that light summer rain and for some hours the world was perfect.

Camilla & Daniel

A couple of weeks ago I boarded a ferry to take me to Åland. It was time for a wedding. And what a wedding it was.
I don’t think I have ever seen a bride so at ease, or one more radiant in her pure joy. I don’t think I have ever witnessed a couple so wonderfully open about their love for each other.

It was an utter privilage to be present and capturing that day, witnessing the happiness, the joy of everyone.

This was also the first wedding where it was only about documentation. Even portraits was a “if we have time”. I did manage to sneak the couple out for a couple of minutes alone time behind the venue, and capturing that short moment without interfering. It was different, but wonderfully so.

Thank you Camilla and Daniel for having me, and thank you for letting me be a part of your wonderful circle for that one glorious day!

Telefonbilder

Los Angeles i februari.
Ljuset.
